We had a heat wave, monsoons with heavy rain and beautiful sunny days all within the last 3-4 weeks.. I must say in the almost 4 years I’ve lived in Vegas I’ve never seen so much rain.. yesterday we could barely leave the grocery store without being soaked from head to toe. All I can say is enjoy the sun and these pretty days.. they don’t always come but when they do.. soak it up!

Change is scary, it’s the unknown I think that scares us the most but if you don’t ever change, how will you evolve? Change isn’t bad.. look at it as an opportunity!! An opportunity to try new things and be someone you’ve always dreamt you’d be. Look at it as a clean slate and an opportunity to start over. Sometimes change has a way of happening to us without any warning. You can either choose to be a victim of circumstance or decide to have perspective and turn it into something positive. I’m choosing the latter and I won’t let anything or anyone stop me from achieving my sole purpose in my life. I’m here to tell you..Neither should you! How fortunate we are to live in a day and age where we as a people are enabled to have a dream, build it, and live it to its fullest potential. I am part of two minority cultures(African American x Hispanic) so I’ve had quite and interesting journey trying to be accepted by both. I’m proud to have a King by my side who has taught me the importance of identity and reverence with who I am and who our future children will be. So to all the people who have been made to feel less than, or unimportant, or anything that’s short of incredible, today is all about you!
